EARLY DAYS  1989 – 2004

Our previous business Dashwood Design was founded in 1989, and it quickly grew to become a leading brand consultancy with a team of over 20 people, along with an enviable reputation in brand creation, development and custodianship.

We worked with some of New Zealand’s leading companies in the consumer and corporate arenas. In 2004 Clemenger BBDO purchased Dashwood Design from us, in line with their policy of aquiring “best in class” companies.

While Paul worked as the creative director and Paola as the managing director of Dashwood Design (prior to the sale of the company to Clemenger BBDO), the company developed and/or created the following brands (to name a few): Fonterra, Genesis Energy, Tower, NZ Stock Exchange, Fletcher Building, Emirates Team New Zealand, America’s Cup and in the FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) arena: V, Mizone, Just Juice, Fresh-up, NZ Natural, Nature’s Fresh, Freya’s and Nestle.

THE NEXT CHAPTER 2004 onwards

In 2004 we founded P and P Dashwood Ltd and continue to consult as brand advisers doing the strategic planning, the creative concepts and designs, and managing the execution and implementation stages as well. Our specialist areas are packaging design, brand identity and brand communications across traditional and emerging media.

Paul  has over 30 years of advertising and design experience, and Paola has over 20 years experience in corporate and consumer branding – applying expertise in strategic planning, project co-ordination and company management with specialist skills in FMCG brand development.
